 An Invitational Choral Festival: A Celebration of St. Catharine's Feast Day

April 29th is the usual day for the celebration of our Patronal Feast, the Feast of St. Catharine of Siena.  Since it is so soon after Easter, and with so much happening in our neighborhood, we thought it might be better to host this event on Sunday afternoon April 21st.  We have invited neighboring and regional choirs to participate in this festival of great hymns, anthems, and canticles which will take place during a celebration of Solemn (Anglican Use) Evensong (Vespers).  Further details on this event will follow.  Featured organist for the Festival will be Cathedral organist Blake Callahan.

 

An Opportunity to Help

This concert Series has been established as an outreach ministry of St. Catharine of Siena Church. We are, of course, trying to attract an area-wide audience to our Series, as well as to our very beautiful space. At this point, however, we are calling our Series a "modest musical offering," and indeed, that is what it is. Even though funds are available to begin another season, none of those funds come from our general operating budget. We are hoping that those of you who regularly attend these programs will want to regularly and generously support them as well. Become a FRIEND OF SIENA MUSIC.
