Total Education with Christ Centered Values
St. Catharine of Siena supports a policy of total education for its students with the Catholic religion as its center and foundation. As a Catholic school, we are committed to the formation of Christian values as well as academic excellence. This commitment challenges students and parents to participate in the formation of a positive and moral learning environment. Throughout the year, students will organize and participate in various liturgical events and activities. Parents are also welcome to attend liturgical celebrations. Service to others is another goal for each student and community service activities are promoted at every grade level.
Strong Test Scores, Highly Qualified Teachers, and Solid Curriculum
For over 100 years, St. Catharine students and staff have been serious about learning. Year after year, 100% of our students have scored at or above their ability in nationally-normed standardized tests. Our eighth graders achieve an average NCE score in the top 15% nationally in math and reading! In math and science, 100% score in the top half of the nation, over half score in the top 25% of the nation! All of our teachers are certified by the State of Ohio and over half of our teachers have a Master’s degree or higher. Our curriculum is accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association and is aligned with the Ohio Department of Education.

Advanced Interactive Technology in Each Classroom, Computer Lab and Library
One of the best features of our school is how we incorporate technology in all aspects of our day. Power School is a program we use that enhances parent/school communication. Using the internet, parents are able to track assignments, access grades, homework and daily attendance. Smart Boards and School Pads are a cross between a laptop, a white board and overhead projector. Teachers can call up documents, images and even web pages on the computer screen which can then be projected to the entire class. These images can be manipulated on the screen by using an electronic pen to make notations for the class to see. All classrooms have multiple computers that are connected to the internet. Students may use the extensive computer lab and find additional workstations in the library.
